CONSTITUTION ADOPTED 2 APRIL 1993 AS AMENDED 2 OCTOBER 2000 AND 8 JANUARY 2001 AND 8 NOVEMBER 2007
Charitable objects
TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF EAST YORKSHIRE, AND IN PARTICULAR THE TOWN OF BEVERLEY (HEREINAFTER CALLED THE 'AREA OF BENEFIT') WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID INHABITANTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS. (B) TO ESTABLISH, OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMUNITY CENTRE (THEREIN CALLED 'THE CENTRE') AND TO MAINTAIN AND MANGE THE SAME (WHETHER ALONE OR IN CO-OPERATION WITH ANY LOCAL AUTHORITY OR OTHER PERSON OR BODY) IN FURTHERANCE OF THESE OBJECTS. (C) ANY OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE SAID INHABITANTS, AS THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE DETERMINE.
