TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING OF ANIMALS, PARTICULARLY CATS, BY THE RESCUE, TREATMENT AND CARE OF SUCH ANIMALS WHICH HAVE BEEN ABANDONED, MALTREATED, OR NEGLECTED, AND BY MAKING ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE ADOPTION OF AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR SUCH ANIMALS, AND TO ENCOURAGE THE PREVENTION OF THE UNWANTED BREEDING OF SUCH ANIMALS.
