Charitable objects
TO ADMINSTER 'THE CROFT' AS AN OPEN SPACE FOR ENJOYMENT BY THE RESIDENTS OF GROTON AND THE IMMEDIATELY ADJACENT CIVIL PARISHES; (B. TO MAINTAIN, PROTECT, AND USE ITS BEST ENDEAVOURS TO PRESERVE THE WINTHROP MULBERRY TREE, BEING A TREE OF HISTORICAL IMPORTANCE, SITUATED IN THE CROFT; (C. TO PRESERVE AND CULTURAL LINKS WHICH EXIST FOR THE MUTUAL BENEFIT OF THE PEOPLE OF EAST ANGLIA AND THE PEOPLE OF NEW ENGLAND; (D. SUCH OTHER PURPOSES FOR THE WELFARE AND BENEFIT OF THE VILLAGE AND RESIDENTS OF GROTON AND FOR THE SUPPORT AND MAINTENANCE OF THE PARISH OF ST BARTHOLOMEW, GROTON AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DECIDE.
