THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS IN MEMORY OF THE LIFE AND WORK OF GENERAL STRINGER LAWRENCE TO RESTORE MAINTAIN PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE SITE OF LAWRENCE CASTLE ITS BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS AND THE STATUE OF GENERAL STRINGER LAWRENCE AS A PLACE OF HISTORIC INTEREST FOR THE EDUCATION AND GENERAL BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC.
