TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF BARTON AND TREDWORTH IN THE CITY OF GLOUCESTER WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, ETHNIC ORIGINS, OR POLITICAL OR RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING WITH THE LOCAL AND STATUTORY AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND INHABITANTS TO PROVIDE OR SECURE THE PROVISION OF A COMMUNITY CENTRE IN BARTON AND TREDWORTH TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND FOR LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE INHABITANTS OF THE SAID AREA.
