Charitable objects
THE CHARITY’S OBJECTS (‘THE OBJECTS’) ARE - TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED AREAS OF TEESSIDE IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, AND HELP MEET, THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY - TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SUBJECT OF MEDIA (INCLUDING DIGITAL MEDIA), BY PROVIDING HANDSON TRAINING WORKSHOPS AND, FOR SCHOOLS & COLLEGES THE OPPORTUNITY FOR WORK EXPERIENCE - TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BEING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING FACTORS: UNEMPLOYMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, YOUTH OR OLD AGE, ILL HEALTH (PHYSICAL OR MENTAL), SUBSTANCE ABUSE OR DEPENDENCY INCLUDING ALCOHOL OR DRUGS, DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF SEX, RACE, DISABILITY, ETHNIC ORIGIN, RELIGION, BELIEF, CREED, SEXUAL ORIENTATION OR GENDER RE-ASSIGNMENT, POOR EDUCATIONAL OR SKILLS ATTAINMENT, RELATIONSHIP AND FAMILY BREAKDOWN, POOR HOUSING (THAT IS HOUSING THAT DOES NOT MEET BASIC HABITABLE STANDARDS, CRIME (EITHER AS A VICTIM OF CRIME OR AS AN OFFENDER), WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF LIFE OF THE SAID INHABITANTS. - TO RELIEVE SICKNESS INFIRMITY AND OLD AGE AMONGST PERSONS LIVING IN TEESSIDE BY PROVIDING A LOCAL BROADCASTING SERVICE FOR HOSPITALS, OLD PERSONS HOMES AND SIMILAR INSTITUTIONS
