NVA is one of the UK's largest and longest established specialist support services for families bereaved through murder and manslaughter. It provides counselling, advocacy, respite, therapy and advice on all aspects of the criminal justice system. NVA works in partnership with statutory and Third Sector organisations exclusively for the benefit of the victims.

Charitable objects
TO RELIEVE PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE UNITED KINGDOM WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS, PARTICULARLY THOSE WHO ARE SUFFERING OR WHO HAVE SUFFERED AS A RESULT OF SERIOUS CRIMES SUCH AS MURDER, MANSLAUGHTER AND RAPE, BY THE PROVISION OF BOTH DISCRETIONARY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND AN ADVICE, COUNSELLING AND SUPPORT SERVICE.
