1.TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THE SCIENCE, PRACTICE AND HISTORY OF THE RAILWAY ENGINEERING, LOCOMOTIVES, ROLLING STOCK AND TRANSPORT AND OTHER FORMS OF TRANSPORT INCLUDING (WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE ABOVE) THE PROVISION AND PRESERVATION OF A COLLECTION OF LOCOMOTIVES, ROLLING STOCK AND OTHER APPROPRIATE OBJECTS FOR EXHIBITION. 2.THE SUPPORT BY WAY OF DONATION OR OTHERWISE OF OTHER CHARITIES HAVING OBJECTS SIMILAR TO THE SOCIETY.
