Charitable objects
THE ALMSHOUSES BELONGING TO THE CHARITY AND THE PROPERTY OCCUPIED THEREWITH ARE APPROPRIATED AND USED FOR THE ACCOMODATION OF RESIDENTS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE SCHEME. THE RESIDENTS SHALL BE POOR PERSONS WHO (EXCEPT IN SPECIAL CASES) TO BE APPROVED BY THE CHARITY COMMISSIONERS ARE INHABITANTS OF THE PARISH OF CIRENCESTER AND THE ADJOINING PARISHES WITH A PREFERENCE FOR PERSONS WHO ARE MEMBERS OF THE SOCIETY OF FRIENDS.
