TO PROVIDE BENEFITS FOR THE INHABITANTS OF LANCASHIRE IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:A.TO RELIEVE PERSONS OVER 16 YEARS WHO ARE IN CONDITITONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS,BY THE PROVISION OF SHORT TERM ACCOMMODATION.B.TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF AN ANNUAL HOLIDAY FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE SICK OR TERMINALLY ILL.C.TO RELIEVE PERSONS WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS BY THE PROVISION OF FURNITURE AND OTHER HOUSEHOLD ITEMS.D.TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH,BOTH PHYSICAL AND MENTAL OF WOMEN WHO HAVE SUFFERED OR WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM DOMESTIC VIOLENCE BY THE PROVISION OF A TEMPORARY REFUGE.E.TO ADVANCE EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT.F.TO PROMOTE SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE TRUSTEES IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION MAY DETERMINE.
