TO RELIEVE WITHIN GREATER LONDON THE CONDITION OF DEPENDENT PERSONS SUFFERING FROM THE EFFECTS OF OLD AGE, ILLNESS OR PHYSICAL OR MENTAL DISABILITY REQUIRING SUPPORT BY THE PROVISION OF PRACTICAL ASSISTANCE TO THEIR CARERS. TO SUPPORT CARERS OF ALL AGES RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CARE OF SUCH PERSONS, THROUGH TRAINING, EDUCATION, ADVICE,INFORMATION AND OTHER APPROPRIATE MEANS.
