TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH THEIR LEISURE-TIME ACTIVITIES SO AS TO DEVELOP THEIR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL CAPABILITIES, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH TEACHING SUPERVISING AND DEVELOPING THEIR PLAYING OF CHESS, SO THAT THEY MAY GROW TO MATURITY AS INDIVIDUALS AND AS MEMBERS OF SOCIETY AND THAT THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE MAY BE IMPROVED
