CONSTITUTION ADOPTED 2ND JUNE 1995
Charitable objects
(1)TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION AND TO RELIEVE POVERTY IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY SUPPORTING AND ASSISTING AND PROMOTING THE SOCIETY OR ORGANISATION REGISTERED IN JAMAMICA AS A CHARITY KNOWN AS THE MISSIONARIES OF THE POOR BY GIFTS AND DONATIONS OF MONEY AND IN KIND AND (2)SUPPORTING AND ASSISTING BY GIFTS OF MONEY OR IN KIND, PROVISION OF SPONSORSHIP, ENDOWMENT OF SCHOLARSHIPS, OR OTHERWISE THE EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS OF THE MISSIONARIES IN SO FAR AS SUCH EDUCATION AND TRAINING SHALL BE BENEFICIAL TO THE PURPOSES OF THE MISSIONARIES, AND (3)SUPPORTING AND ASSISTING BY SUCH MEANS AS ARE SET OUT IN PARAGRAPHS 1 AND 2 ABOVE AND BY SUCH OTHER MEANS AS SHALL BE CHARITABLE ANY ONE OR MORE ROMAN CATHOLIC OR OTHER CHRISTIAN SOCIETIES OR ORGANISATIONS HAVING AS THEIR OBJECTIVES THE LIKE OBJECTIVES AS THE MISSIONARIES OR OTHERWISE THE SERVICE, AID, COMFORT, COUNSELLING, PROVISION OF RELIGIOUS SERVICES AND INSTRUCTION OR RELIEF (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE PROVISION OF FOOD, SHELTER, CLOTHING, MEDICAL TREATMENT AND EDUCATION) OF POOR PERSONS OF ALL AGES INCLUDING THE DESTITUTE, INDIGENT, HOMELESS, DISEASED AND PHYSICALLY OR MENTALLY DISABLED, AND (4)SUPPORTING AND ASSISTING ANY SOCIETY OR ORGANISATION, HAVING CHARITABLE STATUS IN ENGLAND AND WALES, UNDERTAKING AGRICULTURAL, HORTICULTURAL OR IRRIGATION PROJECTS INTENDED FOR THE RELIEF OF THE POOR.
