The church is non-denominational with the object to maintain a Christian witness in the neighbourhood of Canley. It was established in November 1956 with about 40 members on its current site. It now has a formal membership of approximately 90 in number. The Trustees aim to provide well-furnished premises to cater for the wide range of activities undertaken in the buildings

Charitable objects
TO PERMIT THE SAID BUILDINGS OR ANY OTHER BUILDINGS WHICH ARE OR MAY HEREINAFTER BE ERECTED ON THE SAID PIECE OF LAND TO BE USED, OCCUPIED AND ENJOYED AS A PLACE OF PUBLIC WORSHIP FOR WITNESS AND SERVICE TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND FOR THE SERVICE OF ALMIGHTY GOD BY A FELLOWSHIP OF UNDENOMINATIONAL CHRISTIANS CONSISTING OF PERSONS, WHO IN THE OPINION OF THE SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP OR A MAJORITY OF THEM, HOLD THE STATEMENT OF BELIEFS ("THE CHURCH MEMBERS") AND ALSO 2.2.2 TO PERMIT THE SAID BUILDINGS TO BE USED BOTH ON SUNDAY AND ON WEEKDAYS AS A PLACE OF INSTRUCTION FOR CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE OF BOTH SEXES BY SUCH PERSONS AS SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP FOR THE TIME BEING OF THE CHURCH AND 2.2.3 TO PERMIT ALL THE SAID BUILDINGS TO BE USED FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSES WHICH IN THE OPINION OF THE TRUSTEES IS NOT INCONSISTENT WITH THE PURPOSES MENTIONED ABOVE.
