(1) TO RELIEVE THE AGED BEING PERSONS WHO ARE 60 YEARS OF AGE AND OVER PARTICULARLY THOSE OF CARRIBBEAN ORIGIN IN EAST LONDON BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE. (2) TO RELIEVE POVERTY AMONGST UMEMPLOYED AND RETIRED PERSONS IN PARTICULAR THOSE OF CARRIBBEAN ORIGIN WHO LIVE IN EAST LONDON
