TO PROMOTE FOR THE POLICE BENEFIT,IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE POLICE,THE PROTECTION OF PEOPLE AND PROPERTY FROM,AND THE PREVENTION OF CRIMINAL ACTS,IN PARTICULAR BY: ENCOURAGEMENT OF GREATER PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN THE PREVENTION AND SOLUTION OF CRIME, ASSISTING IN MEASURES DESIGNED TO REDUCE THE LEVEL OF CRIME,THE PROVISION OF EDUCATION,INFORMATION AND PRACTICAL ASSISTANCE ON CRIME PREVENTION TO THE COMMUNITY.
