THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS GENERALLY IN THE UK AND IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT SO AS TO LIMIT THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING: 1) PROMOTING RESEARCH INTO THE CAUSES AND TREATMENT OF DIABETES MELLITUS AND PUBLISHING THE USEFUL RESULTS THEREOF; 2) THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF THE HEALTH OF THE PUBLIC BY EDUCATING THEM AND CONDUCTING RESEARCH INTO THE CAUSES AND PREVENTION OF DIABETES; 3) THE ADVANCEMENT AND PROMOTION OF EDUCATION IN THE TREATMENT OF DIABETES BY MEMBERS OF THE MEDICAL PROFESSION.
