1) THE PRESERVATION AND CONSERVATION OF THE OLD MARKET, UPPER MARKET STREET,HOVE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC. 2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE ARTS THROUGH THE PROVISION OF A VENUE FOR NATIONAL AND REGIONAL PROFESSIONAL ARTS ORGANISATIONS AND LOCAL COMMUNITY GROUPS, AND THROUGH THE PROVISION OF A COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAMME. 3) TO PROMOTE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE MUSIC OF THE EIGHTEENTH AND NINETEENTH CENTURIES.
