Charitable objects
The Charity’s objects (‘the objects’) are a. To establish and maintain a dedicated centre (‘the Centre’) for charitable organisations within the Parishes of: Adderstone with Lucker Ancroft Bamburgh Beadnell Belford with Middleton Berwick Bowsden Branxton Carham Cheviotside Cornhill on Tweed Doddington Duddo Ellingham Ewart/Akeld Ford Holy Island Horncliffe Ingram Kirknewton Kyloe Lowick Millfield Norham North Sunderland Ord Shoreswood Tillside Wooler (All Parishes contained within the former Borough of Berwick-upon-Tweed) offering a central location for individuals within the area of benefit and its immediate vicinity to seek assistance from those organisations. b. To promote any charitable purposes for the benefit of the community within the area of benefit and, in particular, the advancement of education, the protection of health and the relief of disability, poverty, distress and sickness. c. To promote and organise co-operation in the achievement of the above purposes and to that end to bring together representatives of the voluntary organisations and statutory authorities within the area of benefit. The Charity is committed to a policy of Equal Opportunities in respect of all its activities.
