Charitable objects
PROVISION OF COTTAGES FOR OCCUPATION BY AGED, POOR OR INFIRM PERSONS WHO MAY BE EITHER SINGLE PERSONS OF EITHER SEX OR MARRIED COUPLES. PREFERENCE TO BE GIVEN FIRST TO PERSONS WHO (OR IN THE CASE OF A MARRIED COUPLE AT LEAST ONE OF WHOM) SHALL HAVE BEEN IN THE SERVICE OR EMPLOYMENT OF THE LATE FREDERICK RAY AND NEXT TO INHABITANTS OF RURAL KEMPSTON, STAGSDEN OR BEDFORD. ANY SURPLUS INCOME SHALL BE APPLIED IN MAKING WEEKLY OR OTHER ALLOWANCES TO OCCUPANTS AND, IF TRUSTEES THINK FIT IN PURCHASING NECESSITIES OR COMFORTS FOR THEM OR OTHERWISE PROVIDING FOR THEIR MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT.
