2) TO ASSIST YOUNG PEOPLE FROM ASHBURTON EITHER RESIDENT IN THE AREA OR ATTENDING EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS IN THE AREA, WHO ARE SIMILARLY IN NEED, TO PURSUE THEIR EDUCATION THROUGH GRANTS TOWARDS EITHER FEES OR MAINTENANCE: OR IN THE PROMOTION AND SUPPORT OF EDUCATION WITHIN THE AREA.
