TO RELIEVE GENERALLY OR INDIVIDUALLY PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE PARISH OF PITSTONE WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS BY MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR ITEMS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES TO REDUCE THE NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS OF SUCH PERSONS. 2. FOR ANY CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE GENERAL BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE PARISH FOR WHICH PROVISION IS NOT MADE OUT OF RATES, TAXES OR OTHER PUBLIC FUNDS.
