Charitable objects
The charity’s objects (‘the objects’) are 1. To promote, assist and further benefit all older persons, being those over the age of fifty years, living in the town of St Austell and the neighbouring areas without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions, by assisting and associating together the said persons with the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations engaged in providing facilities in the interests of social welfare for physical and mental recreation and improvement and advancing education and leisure time occupation to benefit the physical and mental welfare of the said persons, furthering health, relieving stress or sickness, or in pursuing any objectives which may be deemed to be charitable. 2. To promote and organise co-operation in the achievement of the above purposes and to that end bringing together, in council, representatives of the authorities and organisations engaged in the furtherance of the above purposes or any of them within the areas specified in objective 1. 3. To assist any bodies financially, when prudent, or otherwise in furtherance of the above purposes or any of them. 4. To promote and carry out, or assist promoting or carrying out, surveys relating to the needs of older people and arrange the forwarding to the proper authorities and organisations the relevant facts obtained from such surveys.
