Charitable objects

(1) THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE: (A) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY THE PROVISION OF HOUSING ACCOMMODATION FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE: (I) IN NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS; AND (II) OVER 55 YEARS OF AGE; AND (III) HAVE BEEN RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT SUBJECT TO CLAUSE 10(3). (B) SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE RESIDENTS AS THE TRUSTEES DECIDE. (C) TO UTILISE SURPLUS INCOME FOR THE PAYMENT OF ANNUITIES. (2) SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF CLAUSE 5 OF THE SCHEME, THE LAND IDENTIFIED IN PART 1 OF THE SCHEDULE TO THE SCHEME MUST BE RETAINED BY THE TRUSTEES FOR USE FOR THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY.
