"THE PURPOSE OF THE FRIENDS OF SHERBORNE ABBEY IS TO BIND TOGETHER ALL THOSE WHO LOVE SHERBORNE ABBEY IN THEIR DESIRE TO TAKE PART IN PRESERVING IT FOR POSTERITY".
