SCHEME OF THE 17 OCTOBER 2007
Charitable objects
(1) THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS THE RELIEF OF PERSONS RESIDENT IN NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS WHO ARE EITHER: (A) FORMER MEMBERS OF THE FORMER ROYAL OBSERVER CORPS; OR (B) THE DEPENDANTS OF ANY SUCH PERSON. (2) IF AND IN SO FAR AS THE INCOME AND EXPENDABLE ENDOWMENT OF THE CHARITY CANNOT BE APPLIED TOWARDS THE OBJECT SPECIFIED IN SUB-CLAUSE (1) ABOVE, THE TRUSTEES MAY APPLY IT FOR THE RELIEF OF PERSONS IN NEED, HARDSHIP AND DISTRESS WHO ARE FORMER SERVING MEMBERS OF THE ROYAL AIR FORCE. (3) THE TRUSTEES MAY RELIEVE PERSONS IN NEED BY: (A) MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY TO THEM; OR (B) PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR GOODS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES FOR THEM; OR (C) MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY TO OTHER PERSONS OF BODIES WHO PROVIDE GOODS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES TO THOSE IN NEED.
