Charitable objects

IN CASES OF NEED TO PROVIDE FOR THE CHILDREN OF PERSONS WHO ARE SERVING OR WHO HAVE SERVED IN THE ROYAL NAVY OR ROYAL MARINES AND WHO, BEING OR HAVING BEEN OFFICERS, HAVE NOT HELD HIGHER RANK THAN THAT OF LIEUTENANT OR ITS EQUIVALENT, OR BEING OR HAVING BEEN RATINGS, HAVE NOT HELD HIGHER RANK THAN THAT OF WARRANT OFFICER OF ITS EQUIVALENT, AND TO MAINTAIN SUCH CHILDREN IN SUITABLE SHCOOLS, HOMES OR OTHER CENTRES APPROPRIATE TO THEIR NEEDS.
