TO PREVENT AND RELIEVE CRUELTY TO HORSES (WHICH EXPRESSION SHALL HEREIN INCLUDE PONIES, MULES AND DONKEYS) TO PROTECT THEM FROM UNNECESSARY SUFFERING AND TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE A KNOWLEDGE AND LOVE OF HORSES AND OF THEIR PROPER CARE AND TREATMENT.
