FOR SUCH CHARITABLE INSTITUTION OR PURPOSE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE ROYAL SUSSEX REGIMENT OR THE MEMBER OR FORMER MEMBERS THEREOF OR THEIR WIDOWS, CHILDREN OR DEPENDANTS, AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT. THE PROMOTION OF EDUCATION OF CHILDREN OF FAMILIES RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF EAST SUSSEX AND WEST SUSSEX IN ADDITION TO THE AFORE SAID OBJECTS BY THE AWARD OF SCHOLARSHIPS TO BE CALLED THE ROYAL SUSSEX REGIMENT SCHOLARSHIPS, TENABLE AT ANY SCHOOL UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF EDUCATION OR OTHER INSTITUTE OF FURTHER (INCLUDING PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL) EDUCATION AS APPROVED BY THE TRUSTEES.
