TO ASSIST BOYS AND GIRLSS WHO HAVE BEEN AND/OR ARE PUPILS OF SCHOOLS IN THE BOROUGH OF GILLINGHAM THE BOROUGH OF CHATHAM AND THE CITY OF ROCHESTER OR WHO ARE CHILDREN OF RESIDENTS OF THE SAID BOROUGHS OR CITY WHO ARE PREPARING TO ENTER UPON OR ARE ENGAGED IN ANY TRADE PROFESSION OCCUPATION/TO COMMENCE OR TO CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION OR TO UNDERGO TRAINING FOR A TRADE PROFESSION OCCUPATION/IN CASES WHERE THEY OR THEIR PARENTS LACK THE NECESSARY MEANS TO ENABLE THEM TO DO SO, PROVIDED SUCH PERSONS ARE UNDER THE AGE OF TWENTY ONE YEARS.
