(1) FOR THE PURPOSE OF RELIEVING IN CASES OF NEED PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT WHO ARE SICK, CONVALESCENT, DISABLED, HANDICAPPED OR INFIRM BY PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR THEIR SERVICES OR FACILITIES WHICH ARE CALCULATED TO ALLEVIATE THE SUFFERING OR ASSIST TE RECOVERY OF SUCH PERSONS IN SUCH CCASES BYT ARE NOT READILY AVAILABLE TO THEM FROM OTHER SOURCES. (2) IN SUPPORTING THE ROFFEY INSTITUTE, AT ROFFEY, IN THE COUNTY OF WEST SUSSEX.
