FOR THE GENERAL BENEFIT OF DESERVING AND NECESSITOUS PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE PARISH OF BROXBOURNE IN SUCH WAYS AS TRUSTEES CONSIDER MOST CONDUCIVE TO THE FOMATION OF PROVIDENT HABITS. PROVIDED THAT INCOME SHALL NOT BE APPLIED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY IN THE RELIEF OF THE POOR RATES OR SO THAT ANY INDIVIDUAL SHALL BECOME ENTITLED TO A PERIODICAL OR RECURRENT BENEFIT THEREFROM. (PREFERENCE IS TO BE GIVEN TO POOR WIDOWS).
