Charitable objects
FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE RESIDENTS AND FORMER RESIDENTS IN THE ALMSHOUSES AND HOMES OF THE CHARITY OR ANY OF THEM IN SUCH MANNER AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT FROM TIME TO TIME. THE RESIDENTS SHALL BE PERSONS OF LIMITED MEANS OF GOOD CHARACTER WHO ARE WHOLLY OR IN PART UNABLE TO MAINTAIN THEMSELVES BY THEIR OWN EXERTIONS: PREFERENCE SHALL BE GIVEN TO FREEMEN OF IRONMONGERS' COMPANY THEIR WIDOWS AND DEPENDENTS.
