1. THE RELIEF OF PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE PARISH OF SOMERSHAM WHO ARE IN NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS. (2) SUBJECT TO THE ABOVE, IF ANY SURPLUS INCOME REMAINS IT MAY BE APPLIED FOR GENERAL CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN THE PARISH OF SOMERSHAM AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME THINK FIT.
