Charitable objects
ALMSHOUSES FOR POOR SPINSTERS OR WIDOWS WHO ARE NOT LESS THAN 50 YEARS OF AGE AND ARE MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND AND WHO (EXCEP IN SPECIAL CASES TO BE APPROVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS) ARE RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF THE ANCIENT PARISH OF BLETCHINGLEY AT THE TIME OF APPOINTMEN. IF ON THE OCCASION OF A VACANCY THERE IS NO JULY QUALIFIED APPLICANT SUITABLE FOR APPOINTMENT THE TRUSTEES MAY APPOINT TO BE AN ALMSPERSON A MARRIED WOMAN OTHERWISE DULY QUALIFIED, AND MAY PERMIT HER HUSBAND TO RESIDE WITH HER IN THE ALMSHOUSES.
