Charitable objects
SUBJECT TO THE PAYMENTS AFORESAID THE TRUSTEES SHALL APPLY THE INCOME OF THE CHARITY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE RESIDENTS OF THE ALMHOUSES WHO SHALL BE POOR PERSONS OF GOOD CHARACTER WHO (EXCEPT IN SPECIAL CASES TO BE APPROVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS) ARE INHABITANTS OF THE CITY OF CARLISLE (AS CONSTITUTED ON 31 MARCH 1951).
