TO PROVIDE A HOME FOR THOSE BELONGING TO THE TO THE INDUSTRIAL, OR LABOURING, OR MENIAL CLASSES, WHO ARE UNABLE BY REASON OF OLD AGE OR BODILY INFIRMITY TO MAINTAIN THEMSELVES BY THEIR OWN EXERTIONS. APPLICANTS TO BE BAPTISED MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND WHO ARE OF GOOD CHARACTER AND WHO WERE BORN IN THE BOROUGH OF PUDSEY OR HAVE RESIDED IN THE BOROUGH FOR NOT LESS THAN TEN YEARS PRECEEDING APPOINTMENT.
