Charitable objects
1) TO MAKE AN ANNUAL PAYMENT OF SUCH SUM AS THE TRUSTEES FROM TIME TO TIME DECIDE TO THE BAINES' SCHOOL FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADVANCING THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS AT THE SCHOOL: 2) TO RELIEVE PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT WHO ARE IN NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS. 3) THE TRUSTEES MAY RELIEVE PERSONS IN NEED BY : (A) MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY TO THEM; OR (B) PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR GOODS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES FOR THEM; OR (C) MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY TO OTHER PERSONS OF BODIES PROVIDE GOODS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES TO THOSE IN NEED. 4) IN EXCEPTIONAL CASES THE TRUSTEES MAY DECIDE TO ASSIST SOMEONE (WHO IS OTHERWISE QUALIFIED) WHO IS: (A) RESIDENT OUTSIDE THE AREA OF BENEFIT: OR (B) ONLY TEMPORARILY RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT. 5) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PERSONS WHO ARE ABOUT TO ENTER OR ARE ENGAGED IN A TRADE, PROFESSION OR FURTHER EDUCATION BY MAKING GRANTS TO THOSE PERSONS. 6) SUBJECT TO THE PAYMENT SPECIFIED IN SUB-CLAUSE (1) ABOVE, THE TRUSTEES MUST APPLY HALF OF THE CHARITY'S INCOME TOWARDS THE OBJECTS IN POULTON-LE FYLDE WITH THE OTHER HALF BEING APPLIED EQUALLY BETWEEN CARLETON, HARDHORN-WITH-NEWTON, MARLTON AND THORTON. 7) IF AND IN SO FAR AS THE INCOME CANNOT BE FULLY APPLIED TOWARDS THE OBJECTS IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT THEN THE TRUSTEES MAY APPLY ANY SURPLUS INCOME TOWARDS THE OBJECTS IN WYRE DISTRICT AND FYLDE COAST.
