Charitable objects
1. TO ADVANCE AND PROMOTE THE SCIENCE OF MINING AND ENGINEERING AS APPLIED TO THE COAL MINES AND OTHER ALLIED MINING INDUSTRIES. 2. TO TAKE PART IN SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF THOSE EMPLOYED IN THE MINING INDUSTRY. 3. TO DISTRIBUTE AND MAKE KNOWN AND TO TAKE PART IN THE GENERAL DISSEMINATION AND PUBLICATION OF SUCH SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION. (FOR DETAILS SEE RULES).
