THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE: (1) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE AND, ANCILLARY TO THAT, THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION, INCLUDING (A) THROUGH THE SUPPORT OF MUSICAL EDUCATION, (B)THROUGH THE SUPPORT OF MUSIC PROVISION AT THE CATHEDRAL, IN PARTICULAR SUPPORT OF THE EDUCATION OF THE CHORISTERS OF THE CATHEDRAL IN WHATEVER WAY AS THE TRUSTEE(S) FROM TIME-TO-TIME THINK FIT, AND (C) THE PROVISION OF PRIZES AND THE SUPPORT OF SCHOLARSHIPS (FOR CHORISTERS AND FORMER CHORISTERS OF THE CATHEDRAL AND OTHERS); AND (2) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY PARTICULARLY (ALTHOUGH NOT EXCLUSIVELY) WITHIN THE DIOCESE OF DURHAM, IN WHATEVER MANNER THE TRUSTEE(S) OF THE CHARITY THINKS FIT FROM TIME TO TIME.
