Charitable objects
PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF A CONVALESCENT HOME FOR THE BENEFIT OF WORKERS WHO ARE OR HAVE BEEN EMPLOYED IN THE COAL INDUSTRY IN THE LANCASHIRE, CHESHIRE, STAFFORDSHIRE, NORTH WALES WORCESTERSHIRE AND SHROPSHIRE DISTRICTS OF THE BRITISH COAL CORPORATION. IF AND IN SO FAR AS THE CONVALESCENT HOME IS NOT REQUIRED FOR OCCUPATION BY SUCH WORKERS AS AFORESAID THEN THE TRUSTEES MAY PERMIT THE FOLLOWING PERSONS TO USE THE CONVALESCENT HOME UPON SUCH TERMS AND AT SUCH CHARGES AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE. (1) CONVALESCENCE FOR WORKERS WHO ARE OR WHO HAVE BEEN EMPLOYED ON THE COAL INDUSTRY IN AREAS OTHER THAN THE AREA OF BENEFIT AND (2) OTHER PERSONS WHO REQUIRE CONVALESCENCE AND WHO ARE IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE AND THE TRUSTEES MAY PERMIT THE CONVALESCENT HOME TO BE USED IN PROVIDING RESIDENTIAL EDUCATION COURSES FOR WORKERS EMPLOYED IN THE COAL INDUSTRY.THE TRUSTEES MAY ALSO PROVIDE FOR CONVALESCENCE OF ANY PERSONS, AND WHEN APPROPRIATE THEIR CARERS, WHO ARE OR HAVE BEEN EMPLOYED IN THE COAL INDUSTRY IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT AND WHO ARE UNABLE BECAUSE OF DISABILITY OR SOME OTHER REASON THE TRUSTEES CONSIDER IS PROPER JUSTIFICATION TO USE THE CONVALESCENT HOME, BY SUCH METHODS AS THE TRUSTEES DETERMINE APPROPRIATE.
