FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING ALLOWANCES TO THE WIVES AND DEPENDANTS OF SOLDIERS, BEING EMPLOYEES OF THE BRADFORD DYERS' ASSOCIATION LIMITED, WHO WERE KILLED IN ACTION OR WHO DIED FROM WOUNDS OR THE HARDSHIPS OF THE CAMPAIGN DURING THE 1914/1918 WAR OR TO SOLDIERS THEMSELVES WHO WERE INVALIDED HOME AND WERE UNABLE TO FOLLOW THEIR EMPLOYMENT.
