THE MANAGING TRUSTEES SHALL APPLY THE CLEAR INCOME OF THE CHARITY FOR SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE REGIMENT AS THEY THINK FIT OR IN ASSISTING PERSONS SERVING OR HAVING SERVED IN THE FORMER REGIMENTS OR IN THE REGIMENT AND THEIR DEPENDANTS BEING IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE (AND ESPECIALLY IN ASSISTING SUCH PERSONS WHO SERVED IN THE FORMER 3RD (MILITIA) BATTALION, THE SUFFOLK REGIMENT AND THEIR DEPENDANTS) AND MAY TO THAT INTENT PAY SUBSCRIPTIONS AND MAKE DONATIONS TO HOSPITALS, HOMES OR INSTITUTIONS HAVING AMONGST THEIR OBJECTS THE SUCCOUR IN SICKNESS OR CONVALESCENCE OF OFFICERS OF MEN WHO ARE SERVING OR WHO HAVE SERVES IN HER MAJESTYHS FORCES.
