THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY IS 1. THE RELIEF OF PARLIAMENTARY JOURNALISTS AND FORM ER PARLIAMENTARY JOURNALISTS AND THEIR DEPENDANT RELATIVES WHO ARE IN NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS. 2. IF AND IN SO FAR AS THE INCOME OF THE CHARITY CANNOT BE APPLIED TOWARDS THE OBJECT ABOVE IT MAY BE USED TO PROMOTE SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE GENERAL BENEFIT OF PARLIAMENTARY JOURNALISTS, FORMER PARLIAMENTARY JOURNALISTS AND THEIR DEPENDANT RELATIVES IN SUCH A MANNER AS THE TRUSTEES THINK FIT.
