THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY ARE: (1) THE PROVISION OF ALMSHOUSE ACCOMMODATION FOR THE BENEFICIARIES, BEING NEEDY, ELDERLY PERSONS OF GOOD CHARACTER WHO ARE ORDINARILY RESIDENTS OF SHREWSBURY, THE COUNTIES OF SHROPSHIRE AND POWYS OR HAVE STRONG LOCAL CONNECTION WITH THE SAME. THE TRUSTEE MUST GIVE PREFERENCE TO PEOPLE RESIDENT IN NEWPORT, SHROPSHIRE. (2) SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE RESIDENTS OF THE SAID ACCOMMODATION AS THE TRUSTEE DECIDES.
