TO PROMOTE THE GENERAL GOOD OF ALL OLD PEOPLE IN THE PARISH OF ECCLESTON AS FOLLOWS: 1. TO PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL RECREATION, FURTHERING HEALTH, RELIEVING POVERTY, DISTRESS OR SICKNESS. 2. TO ASSIST OTHER CHARITABLE BODIES. 3. TO ARRANGE OR PROVIDE FOR THE HOLDING OF MEETINGS, LECTURES AND CLASSES IN THE FURTHERANCE OF THE OBJECTS OF THE COMMITTEE
