TO FOSTER AND ENCOURAGE AMONGST MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC INTEREST IN AND RESEACH INTO THE HISTORY OF THE BOROUGH OF CONGLETON & NEIGHBOURHOOD BY MEANS OF MEETINGS LECTURES, PUBLICATION OF PAPERS ARTICLES, BOOKS AND SUCH OTHER ACTIVITIES OF AN EDUCATIONAL NATURE AS THE COMMITEE OF MANAGEMENT OF THE SOCIETY MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE.
