Charitable objects

FOR THE BENEFIT OF PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE BOROUGH OF PENDLE WHO ARE POOR OR SICK AND WHO HAVE SERVED IN THE ARMED FORCES OF THE CROWN AND THEIR DEPENDANTS, INCLUDING GRANTS OR SUBSCRIPTIONS OR ORGANISATIONS HAVING FOR THEIR OBJECT THE BENEFIT OF SUCH PERSONS. IF THE INCOME OF THE CHARITY CANNOT BE APPLIED TOWARDS THE OBJECTS STATED, THE TRUSTEES MAY APPLY IT IN PROVIDING CHARITABLE ASSISTANCE FOR PERSONS RESIDENT IN THE BOROUGH OF PENDLE WHO ARE IN NEED, HARDSHIP OR DISTRESS.
