TO INCLUDE THE FINANCING OF FOREIGN TOURS BY THE HALLE-ORCHESTRA, THE CREATION OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR AND ENCOURAGEMENT OF YOUNG BRITISH ARTISTS AND COMPOSERS AND THE PROVISION OF SPECIAL CONCERTS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE TO AWAKEN THEIR INTEREST IN MUSIC.
