THE PAYMENT OF PENSIONS TO POOR WIDOWS OR SINGLE WOMEN OF GOOD CHARACTER, WHO SHALL HAVE RESIDED IN THE PARISH OF ROCK FOR NOT LESS THAN THREE YEARS NEXT PRECEDING THE TIME OF THEIR APPOINTMENT, WHO FROM AGE, ILL-HEALTH, ACCIDENT OR INFIRMITY, SHALL BE UNABLE TO MAINTAIN THEMSELVES BY THEIR OWN EXERTIONS, WITH A PREFERENCE FOR WIDOWS.
